Hi all.

Dream Adaptive is doing a Shred-A-Thon fundraiser in which I am participating in.  On March 27, I will be attempting to ski more vertical feet than the other participants to raise money for adaptive activities, equipment and training.

Even before moving to Montana I became involved with Dream Adaptive while attending their annual Snowcat Powder Camp.  This camp definately pushed me to my limits but I came out of it a stronger person, a way better skiier and gained a bunch of friends in the process.  This past year I have attended a number of summer programs including water-skiing and kayak/sup at Glacier National Park.

This winter was my 1st season as a volunteer ski instructor for Dream Adaptive.  My goal is to teach as many adaptive people as I can to ski. Just as I was taught by an adaptive organization. Skiing has given me freedom, in fact it's easier for me to ski than walk.  Dream Adaptive makes summer and winter dreams available to anyone with a disability.  After being part of many adaptive organizations, I feel Dream does a fantastic job in being financially responsible and making summer and winter activities possible for anyone looking to have fun no matter if they can afford it or not.

The Shred-A-Thon raises critical funds to support the mission of DREAM Adaptive Recreation.  Donations support initiatives such as:  purchasing and maintaining adaptive sports equipment, volunteer instructor training, and providing subsidized rates and financial aid scholarships to ensure everyone has access to our programming.  Please consider donating to the fantastic organization.

***There are two awesome ways to support DREAM through this fun event:

1) Support DREAM by creating a fundraising page in advance of the event to support DREAM.  Meet the minimum fundraising goal ($100/$150) to punch your ticket to attend; then join us for a fun celebration and optional vertical challenge ski/ride day on March 27th; hike, ski, or ride as many vertical feet as you can in one day.  Prizes for most funds raised & vertical feet skied in multiple categories.   Read all the day-of-event details at www.dreamadaptive.org/events/shred  ;  Select "Become a Fundraiser" at the top of this page.

2) Donate to an individual that is participating in the Shred-A-Thon.

If you would like to attend the Shred-A-Thon...

1) All individuals looking to attend the event must raise a minimum of $100 ($150 if you need a lift ticket); please consider creating an individual fundraising page to help in your efforts.  To create your page, select the option "Become a Fundraiser".

2) Customize your page with your fundraising goal, add a photo, and enter in text that will encourage your friends & family to donate.

3) If you'd like to form a team, select the TEAM tab next!  The more people on your team the better chance to win amazing prizes.

4) Share your fundraising page link on social media, with family and friends to reach your goal.  Please let us know if you have any questions or need help setting up your page!
